This is the true story of a little girl who was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, got married, moved to Oregon, and then moved to Alaska. (For you St. Louisians out there, I went to Parkway South High School.)

When I was in 8th grade I was named the English Student of the Year and the Home Economics Student of the Year. Both were equally embarrassing feats in my life.

I went to Drury University and majored in journalism and minored in Global Studies (however, everyone who graduates from Drury gets a minor in Global Studies so this isn’t really anything to brag about.)  A few years later, I went to Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) and received my M.Ed in College Student Service Administration with a minor in Adult Education (teaching and training.)

During my post grad time at Drury and while at OSU I worked in Residence Life and got to see all kinds of crazy shit.  (Did you know that you can put hand sanitizer on your balls and light them on fire?  I didn’t until a few years ago.)

I have two children, thanks to help from my wonderful husband.  James and Sam keep life entertaining even during those times when I question my sanity for having 2 little boys that are only 20 months apart.  James is 5, Sam is 4 and both are obsessed with trucks, dirt, boogers, turds, farts, and peeing on each other.

Despite what people think upon reading my blog and meeting me, I am married to an ordained minister.

I have what has been called a “sardonic sense of humor.”

If you don’t like this blog or are offended by it, I have some advice for you.  Don’t read it.
